I got this chair for my wife for her birthday, and she loves it. I gave it 5 stars, because it works as expected, and is a real bargain (price-wise) compared to the 8800. If I could have given it a partial-star ding, I would have for the fact that the main part of the chair is one piece, which weighs about 165 +/- pounds, and is extremely unwieldy. I had to get it to the second floor of my house by myself in order to surprise my wife.

We have been looking for a limited space massage chair for some time and as this was on sale we decided to take the plunge. We are extremely happy with it. It is very economical on space but does everything it promises. A few things to note. It is heavy so it may take two of you to put it together. The instructions are not very helpful, better to go to the video on YouTube and you can put this together in less than 10 minutes. Only issue is as others have said. The foot massage is brutal and we like a strong foot massage. Place a small hand towel on the fabric and that should be enough to go from pain to pleasure (this is why we made it 4 stars, not 5). Also, if you are very tall or very wide this chair isn’t for you. We are both under 6ft. All in all, we are very happy. Let’s hope it doesn’t break down because after the 1st year of their warranty you need to ship it to them to repair!

We’ve had the chair for over two years now. We still love it and use it several times a week. I was surprised that the chair only has 4 stars. We would give it 10 stars.For reference, we used to have Massage Envy (ME) membership. It was always a hassle making appointments and then getting a decent masseuse. The chair didn’t cost much more than a year with ME, so we gave the chair a whirl.I’ll also say that I only like deep tissue massages. My wife likes gentler ones. For me, it was always hard finding a decent masseuse who could really dig in. The chair makes both of us happy. My wife can put a towel on it (or wear a sweater) to lessen the intensity and I use it without a towel.Now, back to comparing ME to the chair, a good personal masseuse is going to be better. But not much better, and that’s only if you get a good masseuse. If you factor in travel time and convenience, I’ll take the chair every time. The added benefit is that with the chair it’s not just once a month massages; it’s generally 15+ times a month. What a difference that makes!!The other thing is that the chair is massaging your whole body at once. So the hour personal massage is really not even 30 minutes in the chair. This is another nice time saver.The best part of a massage for me is my back. The chair covers 95% of my back. It also does a pretty good job on my feet and calves. I run quite a bit, and it hits my hamstrings really good if I sit up in the chair. This is different than a lot of other chairs since they only go down the back and not around to the hamstrings.The chair doesn’t really do anything for my arms, but I never really walked out of a massage and said, man, that was a great arm massage….People say the feet massage is too much. An easy fix is to initially put a hand towel underneath your feet (that’s what we did) as well as wear socks. This makes the massage much more subtle. I will say after a year, I do bare feet now and love it. I’m so glad the manufacturer didn’t tone down the massage because of the complaints.A huge huge plus is the convenience. Feeling a bit tight, go jump on the chair. Can’t sleep, go sit in the chair. It’s like having a personal masseuse on call 24/7!!!Some people complain about the default time only being 15 minutes in the settings but it’s not a big deal to us. Just remember to hit the time extender to start and you’re good to go. I kinda feel like some people just like to complain….Overall, I (we) can’t say enough how much we love the chair. It’s been an incredible buy. Stop thinking about it and take the leap. You won’t regret it!!!As full disclosure, I didn’t get paid a dime to write this review and paid full price for the chair. All I can say is I have to fight my wife and sons for a session in this chair. They love it more than I do and I really love it. It makes me feel young again. Excellent excellent product.Update had an issue with a belt that controls the rollers coming off. I emailed Kahuna, Eric called me back in a very timely manner. I explained the issues I was having. Eric sent me a new belt without any issues and explained how to install the new belt. Got it installed and my chair is working flawlessly now. Eric called me to check if the new belt worked before I called him. GREAT customer service. I’ll buy from Kahuna again. Very please with my chair and the reliable customer service support.

This chair is great. I would have given it a five star if the remote control had bigger fonts and better lighting. As it is, it is very hard to read.
